WHAT TO EXPECT
GETTING STARTED
Before your first appointment, we’ll have a free, 15-minute phone call to determine if working together feels like a good fit. If so, we'll schedule an intake session, during which I will ask you a variety of questions to gather information on you and your background. From there, we will set a weekly or biweekly schedule for our sessions together, met via telehealth. Note that I am licensed in Oregon and Washington states and as such, only able to see clients physically located in Oregon or Washington at the time of each session. I see clients between 12 PM and 6 PM, Monday through Thursday.
MY THERAPEUTIC PHILOSOPHY
I view therapy as a collaborative experience - it's an expedition of discovery, with you as the leader and navigator. I'm like the tracker or the interpreter - my role is to offer space for you to blaze the trail, and to help make sense of what we discover together. The outcome of treatment depends largely on your willingness to engage in this work - which will sometimes require you to tolerate significant discomfort. There are no miracle cures. I cannot promise that your behavior or circumstances will change. I can promise to support you and do my very best to understand you and the patterns that show up in your life, as well as to help you clarify the path forward.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION? HOW DO I PAY?
Sessions typically run for 45-55 minutes. My rate is $130 per individual session, $150 for couples and families (+$20 for each additional person). For Washington state clients seeking individual therapy, I am paneled with United Healthcare, Aetna, Oxford, and Oscar Health through Headway. If you are seeking marriage or family therapy; an Oregon resident; or have another kind of insurance, sessions are paid out of pocket. For clients paying out of pocket, I accept credit cards, which are billed automatically after each session.
HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?
I can be reached by e-mail at InnessPryor at Gmail.com, or by using the contact form on this site. I check my e-mail on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 12 PM to 4 PM, excluding holidays. At times, it may take me longer to respond to your message if I am engaged with other clients; I appreciate your patience.
Please note that e-mail is not considered a confidential form of communication.
If you need support outside of session, please contact a free & confidential Crisis Line. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1.
